ROGER MIRET AND THE DISASTERS
GOTTA GET UP NOW
PEOPLE LIKE YOU

Agnostic Front vocalist Roger Miret and his side band The Disasters return with the 14-track affair GOTTA GET UP NOW. This album showcases Miret’s unique vocals within a number of different stylistic situations radically different than Agnostic Front, taking the listener on a discernibly upbeat trip that pulls heavily from the street punk scene and skims over a few others to comprise a convincing blend of no frills punk (“We’re Gonna Find a Way:”). This troupe’s approach to simple and catchy punk is bolstered by their chameleon-esque quality to smoothly switch up and pull it all off without a hitch, diversely delving headlong into reggae (“Gotta Get Up Now”), country (”JR”), and pub hardcore (“The Enemy”) while firmly steeped in the raucous and rowdy gang vocal led rock ‘n roll of the likes of Rancid and Dropkick Murphys (“Bare-Knuckle Brawler”). Providing a punchy batch of fiery anthems (“Tales of a Short Haired Boy”), Roger Miret and The Disasters maintains a high level of energy with unsurpassed integrity, creating a punk album with both street credibility and stellar musicianship.
