Ever see a band you like hit the wall? You know, like a car crash at a speedway, going at a good clip before the vehicle spins out of control and careens into the wall, causing a slowdown at best and fatality at worst. Finger Eleven is the vehicle, and sadly, this Canadian quintet has hit the musical version of the wall. The 12-track release, which boasts the production work of Johnny K., best known for spreading the disease known as Disturbed upon the hapless metal community, has all but stripped this once dynamically uplifting band into the throws of generic rock led by fellow countrymen Our Lady Peace and Three Days Grace. Sad to say, but Finger Eleven has hit the wall. Bow your heads and pray your favorite band isn't next.
