Chicago's Celtic punk rockers The Tossers return with AGONY, a 17-track offering brimming over with pub-swaying rhythms, ancestral instrumentation, and tales reserved for the pubs put into song. While the whistles and mandolins may prove to be a bit much for some, if you could imagine liking Mike Ness and The Pogues jamming out for a stretch, then cuts like the melancholic "Claddagh" and the raucous "Where Ya Been Johnny" aren't just St. Patrick's Day fodder for you. Following the path set forth by bands like Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly, AGONY requires a few pints and some lively banter to truly appreciate this septet's world music mash-up.
