DEMENTED ARE GO
HELLBILLY STORM
HEPCAT

These grizzled veteran's psychobilly rock has withstood the test of 22 years of drug abuse, prison, and unbridled recklessness, things which the U.K.'s Demented Are Go's latest album HELLBILLY STORM firmly echoes throughout its 13-tracks. Johnny Cash, Reverend Horton Heat meets Glenn Danzig and Rob Zombie here for the first time, as the days of rockabilly have been an ampification upgrade courtesy of these madmen dabbling in metal's volume and the devil's music. Tracks like "Block Up" and "Skating in the Rain" display the kind of old world authenticity of punk you can't make up, and by attaching the horror movie imagery and real rock foundation, Demented Are Go are made out into being quite the entity. If you'd think Rancid and Slayer should go on tour together, then this disc is for you.
