A WILHELM SCREAM
RUINER
NITRO

Melodic, metallic, and utterly captivating, the five guys that comprise A Wilhelm Scream have found the perfect mixture between chest beating metal, contagious punk, and technical rock on the 14-track RUINER, produced by Bill Stevenson (All, Descendents), whose vast knowledge undoubtedly rubbed off on these guys. Imagine Coheed and Cambria mechanics and California punk a la Strung Out merged for a good idea of where this Massachusetts quintet’s sound falls. Fast-paced punk with a discernible sneer rears its head on “When I Was Alive: Walden III”, while the hard hitting influences of bands like Good Riddance and Grade show up all over the disc, notably on the explosive “Killing It”, the tumultuous yet tuneful tirade of “Me Vs. Morrissey in the Pretentiousness Contest” and the comically titled “Less Bright Eyes, More Deicide”. Showcasing a sense of humor on top of technical punk rock prowess, RUINER provides thrills and chills for any punk fan that likes it fast, heavy, and intricate.
