SEA OF GREEN
THE MUSIC CARTEL
Canadian trio Sea of Green returns with 12 tunes on its latest release CHEMICAL VACATION. And while the band defers the stoner rock moniker, it's hard not to feel all warm and fuzzy inside after hearing the thick riffs that comprise "Ashes to Dust" and "Overwhelmed". Having as much in common with Sabbath as they do Soundgarden, Sea of Green's post psychedelic grunge stance is a welcomed relief from the hip-hop flavor that has invaded the rock genre. Despite the band's penchant for digging in and producing snarling guitars and hypnotic rhythms, there's still some room left for the band to give us "Unite", an acoustic, Latin-tinged voyage into your subconscious.
