ASRA
THE WAY OF ALL FLESH
BLACK BOX

NYC's very own grinding Satanic death metal troupe ASRA's latest album THE WAY OF ALL FLESH showcase the beastial sounds of the blasphemous and throw them on the battlefield to form a destructive entity of epic proportions. Napalm Death springs to mind frequently throughout this 11-track disc's duration, as does the sheer power of Bolt Thrower with shards of the filth of Entombed's early recordings during necksnapping numbers such as "Payload", "Guilt", and "Burning Proletariat", as ASRA clearly shows the love for the incendiary days of grind, powerviolence, and death right down to well-placed blast beats and shrieking lead vocals heard on "Pathogen". And by the time the album's closer "Enclosed Enemy" hits you in the face, the fact that you've been smacked around for the past 22 minutes leaves you no choice but to succumb to this quartet's mighty trip down through the catacombs of the '90s underground scene.
