WOE OF TYRANTS
BEHOLD THE LION
Laying down an assaultive mix of thrash and death with discernible nods to the old regime, Ohio's Woe of Tyrants bust through the gates with unabashed force on the nine-track endeavor BEHOLD THE LION. This quintet's malicious metal attack, lovingly captured by new school guru Jamie King, take the best of the early days of Megadeth and Exodus, throw in a few incidental Lamb of God and Chimaira moments ("Fable Thy Destination", add in a vocalist whose raspy growl scares children for miles, and in turn creates soon to be classic metal tirades like "Revelations". If you like the feel of being overcome with relentless metal, this disc delivers.
