Angra frontman Edu Falaschi's solo release bears his name, despite the project going under the name Almah. Got it? Yeah, it's a bit confusing, but thankfully there's nothing mixed up regarding the 11-track disc's power metal output. Playing a mean guitar in addition to tapping the talents of friends from Nightwish, Kamelot, and Stratovarius for this unit, this all-star prog metal lineup does a fine job in making tracks like "Almah" and "Children of Lies" glisten with fancy fretwork, lush instrumentation, and virtuoso performance. If you dig bands like Symphony X, Edguy, or even Falaschi's other band Angra, there's a wealth of symphonic metal here to sink your teeth into.
