THE MINOR TIMES
SUMMER OF WOLVES
PROSTHETIC

Those in the know are going to bitch about how much these guys sound like Coalesce and Botch, and truth be told, there's a lot on SUMMER OF WOLVES that has been liberally borrowed from the aforementioned. Yet the worship and praise sessions held by The Minor Times are not without unique moments, such as the jam-band breakdown on "This is the Blues" that totally throws a welcomed curveball into the fracas of the caustic grind of "Blackhole Living" or the Norma Jean-esque mathcore vibes on "Amazing Grace". Nonetheless, this one moves at the menacing mid-paced chug found on the opener "+ + +" to the 11-track release's duration, treating your ears to precise shots of heavy guitars and rhythmic batterings that folks digging Poison the Well, Converge, and Deadguy can appreciate.
