TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION
ZEN AND THE ART OF TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION
TRANSLATION LOSS

Turning the rather rigorous grindcore scene on its ear is Total Fucking Destruction, a quartet that boasts ex-Brutal Truth drummer Rich Hoake and whose underground noise rock leanings and unconventional approach to the usually stringent genre makes an intriguing 14-track listen. Crusty black metal nuances collide with blast beated mayhem across the span of the first 10 tracks, notably on "Armed Response" and "Beat Up", while the remaining four-tracks really throw the listener for a loop, rendering lounge lizard renditions of the band's face ripping ditties of yore. While the novelty both halves of this disc embodies doesn't come without a shelf life, for sheer entertainment purpose and a severely unorthodox and raw metal experience, ZEN AND THE ART OF TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION is an album to count on.
